We went looking for this bed and found a lot of photographs.

In 2018 we spent eleven months trying to buy a caned French frame that was actually carved and actually caned. Resin crests with a seam you can find with a thumbnail. Printed board behind a lip where the cane should be. The expensive ones were the same bed with a better photographer.

So we found a carver who still worked freehand and started building the frame ourselves. It takes twelve weeks and costs what it costs, because there is no faster version of it that is still this bed.

It suits whatever room it is put in.
